All employees at Rain City Dogs undergo a rigorous hiring and training process, including access to education modules on safety, advanced behavior, and animal health, as well as first aid training. They are also background checked to ensure the highest level of care for your pet. Lucian was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, and decided to move to Vancouver to shake up their life, and experience that west coast living. You could say animals have been a passion of theirs since they was young, having over 20+ years of experience in the pet industry from retail pet stores, Veterinarian clinics, dog grooming, and dog boarding – so basically, they have done it all.

Nick is a 4th Generation Vancouverite and animal enthusiast growing up with a variety of beloved pets. He believes that good stewardship means you never stop learning about dogs – their behaviors and how to make their lives joyful, and healthy. Nick was given the honor of shadowing Hunter for a year, gathering valuable knowledge while gaining hands-on experience. Nick will also always be there to accept your dogs kisses!

Max has been working with animals of all kinds all his life. It was his dream to work with animals, and he spent years dedicating himself to learning all he could so he could pursue that passion.

Max has worked in dog daycares, grooming salons, as well as working with large animals, cats, and all sorts of little guys in between! He has even worked in veterinary medicine, where he gained valuable knowledge and skills in the areas of general care, physiotherapy, ER and ICU.

Max has been working with Rain City Dogs since January 2022. He and the Vancouver team pioneered the private walk routine, spending hours building the perfect plans for all sorts of furry little creatures. After over a year of dedication and hard work, Max was promoted to Team Lead, and following his big move to the East Coast, given the reins to manage the Halifax Branch.

Max has a great skill in befriending dogs and cats, and animals of all kind. He has a calm and gentle energy that even the shyest pets can feel comfortable. He has worked with all sorts of breeds and temperaments, using positive reinforcement (R+) training methods.

He has a great passion for making pets feel safe and cared for. Your pet will feel right at home with the warm hearted snuggles and skritches waiting for them.
